Reddish Pink Rubellite · 3.47 ct
Mozambique · 3.47 ct
Tourmaline takes its name from the Sinhalese turmali, the word Sri Lankan dealers gave to mixed parcels of coloured gravel stones. Dutch traders brought it to Europe around 1700, and for a long while red tourmaline was set and sold there as ruby. This is rubellite from Mozambique, reddish pink, and the colour holds all the way out to the rim.
